ANCILLARY TASK: Ideas for Our Digipak - Idea 3

Idea 3

For my third idea I quite like the font used on the Paramore "RIOT!" album that I analysed as it had a rock-pop/pop-punk esc about it - for this idea I am considering using a similar font.

On the front cover I think it would be a good idea to merge two images of Kate and Tom together. An image of Kate looking upset, about to cry and an image of Tom looking pleased with himself, evil. This will help the purchaser relate the two together instantly and realise that Tom has caused Kate's upset. The image below is the image I will use if we proceed with this idea, as Kate's facial expression is very emotional.

The image will remain in colour while the rest of the digipak will be of a black font against a white background creating more focus on the image and ensuring the text and information present on the product is clear and easy to read.

From my research on the artist - Avril Lavigne, I discovered she has her own charity: "The Avril Lavigne Foundation". Therefore, I had the idea of incorporating this in to the back cover..."Every £1 from each purchase will go to..." and then placing Avril's charity logo below in the centre of the cover. I believe this will create focus as the logo will dominate the back cover which will create awareness for her charity which will involve the promotional aspect of a digipak.

Hopefully, this will then draw the eye down to the information remaining on the digipak such as "Behind Scenes Footage", "Your Chance To Win A Meet 'n' Greet" and "Outakes" which is above the tracking list and production information drawing the eye down to this also.
