ANCILLARY TASK: Ideas for Our Digipak - Idea 1

Before diving straight in to creating our digipak we decided to sketch some ideas out of what we would possible want to feature on our digipak.

Idea 1

On the front cover I have the idea of using either images below of Kate as a puppet to relate back to the puppet idea featured in the music video. This will feature on a black background to highlight the a notion of upset and a bleak feeling amplified in the image. However, to add a bit of colour to the front cover the font, which will appear in a string like form to relate to the puppet strings featured in the video will appear in a dark blue and light blue formation. I believe by relating the font to the image the product will catch the eye better than just a normal, bold font.

Although, on the back cover and the hinge of the product I have the idea of featuring a simple black font on a white background  with a dramatic broken-heart in the centre to relate back to a sense of loss and heartbreak. I believe by using a simple font and colour more emphasis will be put on the central piece of the heart while making the text surrounding it clear and easy to read.

All sketches take in to consideration the generic conventions of a digipak and iclude: the barcode, track listing, pruduction information "S + G Productions", the record label "Sony Music Entertainment" and copyright information/symbol.
