As you can see from the screenshots below which are featured in the previous post we have been using Adobe Photoshop to create our digipak which we will also use to create our magazine advertisement. This software enables us to add different effects to our work and create an industry standard product.
As a barcode is a convention of digipaks we felt it necessary to include one on our digipak. To do this we typed barcode generator in to Google and dicovered the website http://www.morovia.com/free-online-barcode-generator/. This allowed us to create our barcode. To do this we typed around 10 digits in to the space where it said "data to enclose" and then pressed the "submit" button. After the website had generated our barcode when then saved it and copied it on to the back of our DVD/digipak cover. A screenshot of the creation of barcode can be seen below.
Although it is a new concept and not everyone uses it on their products yet we have decided to include a QR code to demonstrate the advancement in technology and to keep our product in the 21st century. To do this we typed QR code generator in to Google and came across http://goqr.me/. You then type your desired text in to the "your text" box, save the QR code and then copy in to your product e.g. our DVD/digipak cover. A screenshot of the website we used can be seen below.
