As red is usually related to a feeling of love but can also relate to the notion of blood and death, in my second idea red is the dominate/only colour used in terms of background and text. Although there is not a death featured in our music video - so why say that red is related to the notion of blood and death, it could be said that red could amplify the feeling of the loss of their relationship, like their relationship, their love has died.
The background will be a light red which will then help to bring out, emphasise the font which will be a darker red. The font will have a swirly, romantic look about it which I believe will relate to the overall theme of the proudct - love.
The front cover will feature an image of Kate, our artist figure dangling like a puppet to show lack of control (the possible image we might use is shown below).
The back cover will then feature an image of Tom, our boyfriend figure holding a pair of scissors which will go over the hinge of the product towards Kate to connect the two together.
By presenting Tom with a pair of scissors this relates back to the music video where he cuts Kate`s puppet strings which symbolise the foundation to their relationship, a feeling of control once the strings are cut they start to lose their relationship, their sense of control. This image of Tom will then help to draw the eye to the conventional information such as the track listing above his head and the barcode, copyright symbol and production information towards her feet while bonus features such as outakes and backstage footage surround him.
